Data Protection
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. The GDPR aims primarily to give control back to citizens and residents over their personal data. It was adopted on 27 April 2016 and becomes enforceable from 25 May 2018.
Mel Wright Sports Massage Therapy operates within the bounds of the GDPR, ensuring that the information provided by clients, when completing a Consent Form, is stored only for the purposes which it was provided:
• Maintaining contact with clients; and
• Acting as individual case notes to allow informed on going treatment.
Confidential data of clients will only be provided by means of referral to Clients’ General Practitioners, in line with our referral procedure. Confidential data will not be provided to third parties in any other circumstance unless at the written request of the client.

Liability
We will not be liable for any financial loss or loss of personal possessions, as a result of, or in connection with the provision of services to you.
We will not be liable for any damage that may be caused as a result of your failure to disclose medical details that may, for example, make treatment inappropriate.
We will not be liable for any muscle soreness, bruising and discoloration of the skin, following a sports massage treatment, as this is quite normal.
Full professional and public liability insurance is held by Mel Wright Massage Therapy.
